How to Deal with “Bad Luck”

In this 2-minute video, I share how to overcome a huge problem that a lot of people who must pass TOEFL iBT have.

The Solution

Make a complete list of the study skills and activities (that I mentioned to you while giving feedback or that you mentioned you are still struggling with).

Your list may have fewer than 10 items on it, or your list may have more than 10.

It doesn’t matter how many items there are. What matters is that you put them on paper where you can see… It’s not “luck” that’s causing you to get low scores. It’s confusion and not being prepared enough.

Every day, you need to work on the list. The goal is to build your confidence, your speed, your fluency, your accuracy… because when you’re prepared, “luck” is the smallest factor.
